Gisela Graça, owns a Doctoral Degree (PhD) from University of Poitiers, France (2012). She got a Master's degree from University of Poitiers, France (2004, and graduated (LLB Law) from University Eduardo Mondlane, Mozambique (2002). She is member of the Mozambican Bar Association.
She is fluent in Portuguese and French and works easily in English.
Presently she is a senior lawyer at the Energy, Natural Resources and Infrastructure Department of the Mozambican law firm Couto, Graça e Associados, Lda.
Gisela Graça has over 15 years of experience in providing legal assistance in Mozambique, and about 6 years advising in a wide range of transactions in Public-Private Partnership and large scale projects, Infra-structures, Energy, Oil and Gas, Mining Law sectors.
In particular, she has been providing legal advice to promoters and concessionaires in the development of coal fired, gas fired, hydroelectric, solar and wind power generation plants in Mozambique. This included drafting and negotiations of, among other, Power Purchase Agreements, Concession Agreements, gas/coal purchase contracts, gas/coal transportation contracts, framework agreements with the Government of Mozambique. She assists investors during the phase prior to the financial closing, and, in particular, obtaining the various licenses and authorizations for each project.
